School has been over for fourteen days now. I’m no longer an eight grader or even a middle schooler. I am now a freshman or a fish as the sophomores and upper classmen call us. I miss my teachers, especially Miss Bottom, so much. I love the things they wrote in my yearbook, which by the way is awesome, so here they are:
Dear Christina
You have been such a joy in my CRAZY 3rd period pre-AP class! You are so smart and so talented. Don’t doubt yourself! I can’t wait to see all you accomplish!
Lost of love,
Miss Bottom
Christina,
You are an amazing young woman. You will be successful no matter what you decide to do in life. Come back to see me next year.
Mrs. Riley
Christina,
You are an amazing young lacy. You are so smart, funny and pretty. I know you’ll accomplish awesome things. I hope you’ll keep in touch! Best of luck in H.S.!!
Mrs. Graves
CHRISTINA
You are a beautiful girl! You are very bright and can do WHATEVER you set your mind to! I’ll miss you!
Miss. Galloway
Christina~
I can’t believe it has been 3 years!! Wow!! It has been great!! You are an incredible young lady and it has been a pleasure working with you. You have taught me soo much! Please keep in touch!! Mrs. Cooper
And then of course there was my ARD/504/SAFE meeting to decide what plan I need to be on. It was so funny, mostly because Miss Bottom was there. Can you tell she’s my favorite? But anyways these are some of the things she told me:
“When your teachers talk about you, and we do talk about you, we are amazed at how much your confidence has grown. You come in the classroom and you hold your own. The sweet little Christina I had at the beginning of the year wouldn’t talk to anyone. She’d come in, sit at her desk, and maybe she’d talk to one or two other students. But now you walk in the room, you smile, and you carry on full conversations with me.”
“Just because you are moving on to the high school doesn’t mean that your teachers are closed off to you. I’ll be here next year and so will Mrs. Riley and Mrs. Graves. If you need advice you can email me. If your teacher is going too fast, I know some teachers at the high school and we’ll get something done about it. And I’ll help you any way I can. If you’re not understanding a noval, you and I can talk about it together. If need be, you can come up here after school and I’ll read it to you. Okay?”
I nod my head.
“I’m being serious here Christina. I’ll do what I can.”
I don’t think she knew I was coming because when I first came in the she said, “Hey girly.”
And then she pulled out the chair next to her and said, “Here you can be my buddy.”
I love Miss Bottom! She is so awesome!
I made a 2690 on my TAKS history test which means that I only missed one question! I got commended!
Not only that but I made the High School Color Guard! We have out first camp on Monday! I’m so excited.
I just got back from Bridgeport with Laura and I had a blast!
Jarrod was sooo good!
Now on to my whole thing with Amber.
I hate her. I absolutely hate her. She drives me crazy. I can’t stand being around her. My mom has cancer and all she ever wants to talk about is Amy, her dad, her mom, the new baby, and the divorce. God I hate her!
